Uqua aka “OMG and Update” (posted by Adarii)

Uqua.. the zone guilds love to hate. Pre-nerf Uqua was classed nearly impossible; killing a mob was a great achievement, killing a mob without a death was as good as instant uber status.
Post-nerf the zone is manageable, the AEs can be dealt with, the mobs actually give you a chance and even though most of the loot so far has been average, the zone is at least now beatable.
First on the menu, Tqiv Araxt the Enraged.
With his fight being an anti-climax, we were pleasantly surprised with these tasty pieces of loot, as well as a couple of Taelosian Geomancy Stones
Congratulations to Rallron on a shiny new staff and Fenlaorn on the augment.
Next up, Tqiv Qukret the Furious.
Mr Furious yielded more Taelosian Geomancy Stones and this Ikkinz-like shield.
Other loot off these two has included +70 mana and +70 hp augments.
Once the two mini bosses were down, it was time to start hunting for Mr Bossman Barxt. This did not prove too difficult, although he had a few surprises to throw at us yet, including this lovely construct, who yielded a very nice mask in return for his death.
Are we there yet? Almost! At this point our lovely npc guide informed us that we had two choices. Win, or die, there was no retreat. Obviously the choice was simple, we must win.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be the case, with no foreknowledge of the encounter, we made a valiant and heartfelt effort but it was to no avail. Death took us and it was all over, this time.
Since Uqua makes the Plane of Time look like a kiddies playground, we decided to make Time more challenging, lets just say this unscheduled experiment was met with little enthusiasm although I’m sure the Bertox enjoyed the nibble on our corpses after we fell Cazic Thule. I give you Plane of Time – Triality Style !

Triality has jumped firmly into the Gates of Discord spending the majority of our time pushing ahead wherever possible. The Ikkinz one group trials and the limited number raids have been keeping us busy, along with the afore mentioned Kod’Taz and Yxtta mini bosses and ring events.
The Ikkiz raids have proven to be fairly easy although the third raid trial was quite fun and interesting involving a situation that kept us thinking, and the fourth raid trial was just plain annoying.
While the maps of the trials are less than interesting, and the mob models themselves could have been slightly more inventive than the run of the mill models you can see in Barindu, there have been some quite fun things that have we have discovered.
The Spirit of Tunik Tamuik seemed to have a slight race identity problem and changed his race to whoever he currently had aggro on. Here you can see him imitating our MT Grap (shrink please!!)
Apparently Sony decided on a revival of ToV and VT days and threw in a gflux mob. It’s quite amusing to see 50 people flying through the air.
Much Time level loot has also been acquired along the way.
I leave you with some interesting stats on our loot received from the Plane of Time since we started farming back in November 2003
Edge of Eternity – 10
Shawl of Eternal Forces – 7
Songblade of the Eternal – 6
Vanazir, Dreamer’s Despair – 5
Boots of Despair – 4
Bow of the Tempest – 3
Greatblade of Chaos – 3 -
One Foot in the Gates of Discord (posted by Yackov)

Triality has been wipe-free in Plane of Time for months. We’ve gotten the plow down to one quick 5-6 hour day. Needless to say, the good loots in quick order is irresistible every week, but we’d been getting restless with little to do on off days. February 10 marked the release of Gates of Discord, though, and gave (is still giving) us plenty to keep busy.
On the first day of GoD’s release we played with Zun Muram Votal, who looks like he could use an attitude adjustment:
For a week or so after that we aimed at flagging our guild for Kod`Taz, the zone that’s the hub for raiding progression for time-geared guilds. Since then, we’ve barely had an opportunity to play in the new zones as a guild. Some of the scripts are still a mystery, some are buggy, there’re some frightfully difficult raid instances.
Yxxta, off Kod`Taz, has this named which is a great example of what makes GoD enjoyable. A quick one-pass moderate-number raid yields a dead named:
It’s fun to rush headfirst into battle, not knowing what to expect because it’s new, seeing what new nuances enemies have to offer. She dropped these Plane of Time-ish loots.
They’re practically promising much better goodies in the end tier of this part of the game.
That sums up what we’ve gotten of GoD raid content so far: a sampling. We’ll have more screenshots and loot pics soon!

Random Update (posted by Adarii)

Triality is back up and running after a short break over the Christmas and New Years holiday. We started our new year with a 2 day flawless clearing of Time, and 5 days later did it again…. and then once again.. you get the idea.
Phat Quarm Lootz have included:
Shawl of Eternal Forces (Shortywiz) || Talisman of the Elements (Tiket & Bubbette)|| Bracer of the Inferno (Grinderroth) || Prismatic Ring of Resistance (Filya) || Wristband of Icy Vengeance (Armew) || Shroud of Eternity (Astaren) || Stone of Flowing Time (Cudly) || Whorl of Unnatural Forces (Orenth)
This time around we managed to finish the script and have Druzzil Ro wipe our memories. (ie, free port back to PoKnowledge)
What was I talking about again?
Various back-flagging raids have been on the agenda with The Rathe Council and Xegony dying smoothly as always. Xegony died in a super fast 27 minutes this time around, a new record for us, down from out last fastest kill of ~40 mins.
With PoP bosses being killed faster than they can spawn, the empty zones have seen us dabbling in some hard LDoN raids and although we have not yet successfully completed one, it will not be long before we do.
The places peoples’ minds go when fighting in a lag filled Plane of Water.

Everyone said it couldn’t be done. Triality kill Quarm before Christmas? Not possible!
Very possible!
Congratulations to Mierin on the Ethereal Silk Leggings, Dalnoth on the Hammer of the Timeweaver and Sepha on the Earring of Influxed Gravity!!
The whole guild has put in a huge effort to get this far, with every single person giving it their all. Words fail to describe the huge sense of acomplishment so I will just let the pictures do the work.
Other than paying Mr Quarm visits, we have been romping through the Plane of Time like it is a children’s playground, scoring a few rare and coveted items in the process, including three Time Robes.
Phase 4: Saryn, Terris Thule, Tallon Zek and Vallon Zek

Time for Time (posted by Adarii)
Originally posted by Adarii on Nov 25, 2003 17:25
After the excitement of killing Coirnav and making it to the Plane of Time, Triality has spent it’s time learning and exploring the zone. With that learning has come many deaths, but the deaths are more than paid for with the quality of the rewards. Even the Phase 1 loot is well worth the effort:
Phase 2 of Time is much like Phase 1, but with, you guessed it, better loot!
Phase 3 of Time is when the fun starts! Several waves of mobs + Named + Evil dying repeatedly = phat loot!
With all the gnome sacrifices, good things were destined to happen. And they did! It was not long before we hit Phase 4 and it’s four gods. Of course, we had to figure out how to open the door first….
With the first hurdle crossed, it was on to some god killing, Saryn, Terris Thule, Tallon Zek and Vallon Zek to be exact. Saryn, Terris and Tallon have all fallen and at three drops a piece, it’s a loot whores delight. Unfortunately Vallon Zek and his lackeys still elude us but that will be changing very soon!
Now with all this loot we’ve been getting, stuff is bound to rot, right? WRONG! Unbeknownst to all, Evilgohanz has been whoring this loot to make sacrifices to his gnome gods. I was lucky enough to witness the mass tribute and took a few snapshots for posterity.
Recruitment Note: Triality is currently looking for Enchanters. Please visit our message board or speak to any of our officers!

Calamari and the Plane of Rolexes (posted by Yackov)
Originally posted by Jackov on Nov 8, 2003 01:48
We’ve had much going on lately, everybody wants to dance and sing! Since our most recent accomplishment took place in the Plane of Water, I think I’ll let a little ditty from “The Little Mermaid” say it:
Under the sea, under the sea..
Darling, it’s better
Down where it’s wetter ..
Take it from me.
Under the sea, under the sea
Under the sea, under the sea
When the sardine begin the beguine
It’s music to me.
What do they got? A lotta sand…
We got a hot crustacean band!Does Triality REALLY have a hot crustacean band? I don’t think so. But we HAVE been looking to even the score with Coirnav the Avatar of Water.
Coirnav has a script that involves waves of frightful water creatures like mephits, fish-men, and crab-men- and if you do not beat them + Coirnav in 15 minutes you get to wait 3 or so days to try again. So as we steamrolled the rest of the elemental planes and started trying him, we had to wait a while to fix our strategy and adapt to what we learned with each attempt.
As it turns out, he was the last kill we needed to earn access to the Plane of Time, EQ’s endgame zone. So last night when we finally made him and his friends seafood, there was much rejoicing and delighting. The script wasn’t too hard overall – but it was painstaking to master with such a long respawn time.
Grats Grinderroth on Kelp-Lined Mantle and grats Midasa on Double Woven Kelp Cord!
What that song from “The Little Mermaid” doesn’t tell you is how gloomy and dark it is under the sea, but no matter the mud and the seaweed- it is always fun to pose with shields after you’ve killed an Elemental Plane God!
Now here’s the funny part. To make the key to the Plane of Time, every guildie has to combine the shields from each of the gods in a special container. So it was off to the entrance to Time in the Plane of Tranquility to combine keys- and complain about how classes were hogging the odylic vial.
Thirty years and lots of clocks later…
Well, nothing says progression like a good map.
Triality has come a long way- quite an understatement- from dragons in velious to snakes and spirits in Luclin to the powerhouse minis and gods in Elemental Planes. That progression can be credited to the members of our guild, who do a fantastic job working together and making the most of their abilities in game. I’ve no doubt the same people who put their best into beating the content in the other phases of the game will do fine at the “end game”.
We’re anxious to tackle the challenges in Time and are glad we could put the King Calamari behind us… you will be seeing SS’s of the Plane of Time encounters soon enough!

The Rathe Council of Twelve (posted by Adarii)
Originally posted by Adarii on Nov 04, 2003 16:41
So anyway, what has Triality been up to this week?
That’s right, we’ve been paying the Rathe Council of Twelve a little visit. Having some cookies, learning the script, dying, coming back and laying some smack down… Who would have thought these twelve little Tiki Tiki men would have been so irritatingly annoying to deal with? These wooden soldiers that should all fall down on our command. Do they when we ask nicely? No! Do they when we ask again?
It doesn’t seem so!
The stress of this event is huge, a raid full of people that need to be totally focused for the duration of the event. One tiny mistake, one resist, one break in concentration up and everything goes pear shaped and ugly. Fast.
It can unhinge people…
…..Especially the leaders!
Yeah…. So! Please excuse us! Once everyone’s brains were screwed back into place, and the medication administered, (or straitjacket in Evil’s case!) it’s amazing what happens!
That’s right folks, Triality has slain the Avatar of Earth! It was a gruelling effort of flawless teamwork with a liberal sprinkling of insanity that finally made it possible. The satisfaction and excitement of beating this event after only a few attempts was huge, and two excellent drops just put the icing on the cake.
Huge congratulations to Dextro on the Chestguard of Enchanted Marble and Evilgohanz on the Ring of Flowing Stones
We haven’t just been playing with the Rathe Council though, oh no! All the Elemental planes have come under our reign of terror. Plane of Earth has been particularly nice to us, thanks Mr Peregrin for two drums, we love you !
Plane of Earth B is also a new playground for us, although it’s a pity about the monotonous models, it kinda reminds me of somewhere, somewhere horrible, somewhere evil, thankfully I can’t quite bring the place to mind.
We continue to farm Plane of Fire and it’s God on a regular basis, Plane of Air and its God are also our bishes, unfortunately I don’t have all the loot screenshots of PoF and PoA, my dog ate them… Although, If I did this update would be about four times as long as it already is, so I’ll save you the agony.
Almost there!
After our last successful foray into LDoN raids, we went back for some more fun and games. It was a good run with another Glowing Ring of Eternal Slumber dropping and a few augments thrown in as well. These raids are definitely on farm status.
To finish, I leave you with some insights into the mind of Triality.
